Logie Award winner Carrie Bickmore and her Network Ten co-host Charlie Pickering will host The Breakfast Project nationally on Nova from 14 June.
Kicking off on Tuesday 14 June for two weeks while the regular local breakfast teams are on survey break, Carrie and Charlie will be heard from 6am weekdays around the country on Nova 969, Nova 100, Nova 919 and Nova 106.9.
No stranger to radio, News Journalist and TV presenter Carrie spent eight years as part of the Nova 100 team prior to joining The 7pm Project. Charlie, a polished and accomplished comedian and TV presenter, has earned accolades for his local and international live work and is known to TV audiences through The 7pm Project and as Gen X captain on Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation. The Breakfast Project with Carrie and Charlie will be fun, topical and full of surprises.
Carrie Bickmore said, “Love working with Charlie at night…and can't wait to hang with him in the mornings. Just hoping that 16 hours a day together doesn’t have us finishing each other’s sentences!”
“I'm really excited to be doing breakfast radio on Nova. With a 5am start and 7.30pm finish, I can now avoid peak hour traffic at both ends of the day. And maybe now my mid-afternoon naps will be justified,” said Charlie Pickering.
Paul Jackson, dmg Radio Australia’s Group Program Director said, “Carrie & Charlie are great talents in their own right and are good friends of the Nova family. We are thrilled that Nova listeners will hear more of them in breakfast.”
The Breakfast Project with Carrie and Charlie from 6am to 9am on Nova 969 Sydney; Nova 100 Melbourne; Nova 919 Adelaide & Nova 106.9 Brisbane.
