The Block's Mark & Duncan announce new radio show Un-Blocked on Sydney's 95.3 FM from this Sunday 17 July.

Twenty-odd years ago, Mark and Duncan met by chance in a hardware store shopping for DIY projects. They've been best mates ever since. The two mates have been jobbing together since 1990 on a variety of renovations — usually their own. Mark & Duncan became the much loved members of the 2010 series of The Block and will make guest appearances for the 2011 season.

They now bring all that experience to Sydney’s 95.3 FM with Un-Blocked. This hour long show will be hosted by 95.3 FM’s breakfast host, Anthony Maroon and will feature the boys’ larrikin humour and some tips and tricks on renovating as well. The boys are pretty excited about hosting their own radio show, Un-Blocked. “Mark and I are looking forward to "chewing the fat" for an hour on Sunday mornings, surely we can't do too much damage in one hour! Said Duncan....

Belmondo Tiles who are the presenting sponsor of Un-Blocked have said of the association, “We are enormously excited about working with Mark & Duncan and Sydney’s 95.3 FM. We believe this will be a great opportunity for us to expose our Willoughby store and products using Mark and Duncan’s expertise and what will become their fan base.”

Mark and Duncan’s wives encouraged them to apply for last year’s series of The Block; "I think they wanted to get us both out of the house for a couple of months. But it was an opportunity we just couldn't resist.” Both are busy husbands and fathers, Mark with four daughters and Duncan with four sons. “We love to get the dozen of us together on the weekend for a barbie. The kids play soccer and Mark and I tend to drink beer," says Duncan.
